Nujabes (Feb 19, 1974 - Feb 26, 2010)

Nujabes was a Japanese hip hop producer/DJ. His style consisted of hip hop, jazz, soul, andmore. I think his music is absolutely amazing. Nujabes is his name spelled backwards -- Jun Seba, or Seba Jun (the Asian way: last name first). Cooleh? If you watch Samurai Champloo, he was one of the major contributors to the music in the anime. .

He passed away at the age of 36 on February 26, 2010 from a car crash. Official statement here. Sorry I don't know Japanese.
